Founded in 1952 CSAE is Colorado's professional association for the executives of non-profit organizations and associations managing business, industrial, professional and membership organizations. 

The Colorado Society of Association Executives is incorporated in the State of Colorado as a not-for-profit organization and is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c) 6 of the Internal Revenue Code.  Dues paid to CSAE are not tax-deductible as a charitable contribution, but may be deducted as an ordinary and necessary business expense.  3 percent of dues to CSAE are subject to non-deductibility because of lobbying.
